The Macator Road Cycling Helmet MIPS brings together the protective technology of Abus’ In-Mould construction, as used on their top-flight helmets, with the brain-protecting technology of Mips. 

The In-Mould construction sees a tough polycarbonate shell bonded to an impact-absorbing EPS foam inner. In the event of a crash, this combination provides shock absorption and protects the head from injury. The polycarbonate shell also ensures the Macator Mips delivers everyday durability too.

The modern form factor also sees extended coverage across the back of the head and nape area, boosting all-around protection. 

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Excellent safety is also matched with excellent comfort. The Zoom Ace Urban adjustment system lets you dial in the fit precisely to your head shape, and a full ring encloses the head to provide security and comfort on the go.
