Created for the rigours of both trail and enduro mountain bike riding, the POC Axion MIPS Helmet has a focus on giving you superb comfort and ventilation when on the bike. But with outstanding protection, it keeps you safer when your ambition is beaten by gravity and you crash to the ground.

Durable. Light. Protective. 

The first line of defence for your head is the combination of a tough but lightweight Unibody shell and an energy-dissipating EPS foam liner. The outer of the Axion MIPS Helmet not only brushes off overhanging bushes and branches during normal trail riding but in the event of a crash, it maintains structural integrity. At the same time, the EPS foam inner liner absorbs the damaging forces of head impacts. Both work in tandem to prevent injury to your head when you fall. 

You also have the benefit of POC’s patented adjustable breakaway peak. This comes away from the helmet during a crash, reducing harmful forces transmitted to the neck. Extended zones around the temples and back of the head also give you extra protection in risk areas.

MIPS Integra Head Protection Solution

The Axion also features the MIPS Integra system. This brings together POC’s ‘whole-helmet’ safety and design ethos with the fully integrated brain-protecting technology of MIPS. This holistic approach sees every detail of the helmet engineered to work in harmony with each other, giving you new levels of seamless safety, comfort, ventilation, fit and function.

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

360-degree Fit System

In order to keep the Axion MIPS in place, you’ll find POC’s 360° fit system. This offers an easy-to-operate and precise fit, ensuring your Axion remains comfortable when riding and stays securely in place in the event of a crash.

Cool Trails

With the structural strength of the Unibody construction, POC have been able to optimise vent size without compromising on safety.
